‘Bad Times Ahead’ is a 12” EP compiling the 4 rarest songs amongst the ones ever released by Aimless Device. Except for the title song, which saw the light on the 1987 v.a. ‘From Behind The Bushes’ compilation LP, none of the rest were ever put onto vinyl. ‘The Flame’, an Annabel Lamb cover from 1986 appeared only on the v.a. ‘Mad in Belgium 3’ cassette. ‘Hyena (1988 remix)’ is a quite different sounding version compared to the 1985 original and was included in the v.a. ‘Hyena Ist Tot’ cd-only compilation. ‘Cry’ was released for the first time in 2010 on Aimless Device’s posthumous cd-only compilation ‘Coats Of Many Colours’.
We thought it was a good idea to compile these not-so-well-known songs into a 12” EP an make a very special homage to this band that we all love around here and has quite a cult following specially in Spain.
All songs have been carefully remastered and we are pleased to bring you the ‘Bad Times Ahead’ 12” in our usual split vinyl run, 125 copies in clear vinyl and 175 copies in standard black, hand numbered, housed in a matt finish sleeve with a double sided insert and download code.
But this time we also have the so called ‘Bad Edition’, which consists in just 50 copies in translucent blue vinyl, hand numbered, housed in a differently designed hand crafted sleeve with printed inner sleeve (on metallic paper!) and an awesome band poster!! It also includes the regular insert and download code. More expensive but well worth the money!!

Dead Wax Records is an independent label just like the ones in the early 80s. We do everything ourselves out of pure passion
for music, focusing mainly on post-punk, minimal & cold wave, synthpop, goth rock / pop. Quality music always, lost forgotten jewels in need of a second chance, recently discovered treasures that will see the light for the first time.

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles

Yet another masterpiece from this great band, it was difficult to choose a favorite track from this album, since every track is a hit as far as I'm concerned. This band just keeps getting better and better. ghaseloff
